If you’ve seen the windows, you know the inside scoop behind the gentle soul who makes particularly beautiful snowflakes.

We’re here to give you the inside, inside scoop.

This behind the scenes video gives you a backstage pass into the making of the Saks Fifth Avenue 2013 holiday windows.

You’ll see how the costume creators, sculptors, carpenters and animators created the magical world of the Saks Yeti.

Standing there, bundled up on the brisk sidewalk, it’s hard to imagine these works of art as a napkin sketch.

Spaeth Design has been creating holiday magic for over 60 years. We like to think that we have also perfected the process of making smiles.

This year, Spaeth Design teamed up with Harry Medina, the Window Director of Bloomingdales to take you on a global journey through colorful holiday shopping scenes from around the world.

But, how are these magical scenes created?

Santa’s elves of course! Just kidding, but it’s not too far off.

This behind the scenes video gives you a peek at some of the most creative people in NYC doing what they do best.

You will be amazed at how these artists, painters, sculptors an engineers create these signature pieces of art from raw materials.

We’ve been doing this over 60 years and we’re proud of what we do. We never really could get enough of high school woodshop and art classes, so we made it our lifestyle!
